Articulation: Diploma from Randolph College for the Performing Arts

This articulation between Laurier and Randolph College for the Performing Arts (RCPA) is designed to allow students to earn both their Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Self-Directed Studies and their Performing Arts diploma in only four years. 

Participants must successfully graduate from RCPA’s two-year Performing Arts diploma program before transferring to Laurier to complete their Bachelor of Music. Students applying to Laurier will receive 10.0 transfer credits. To complete your degree at Laurier, you must complete 10.0 additional credits (two additional years of full-time study). Regardless of whether Laurier or RCPA is attended first, students must apply for transfer to the other program within 10 years of their final year enrolled in a qualifying program at their initial institution. 
 
Throughout your Bachelor of Music degree, you will take courses in topics such as music performance, production, creation and style. Once you have accepted your offer, please consult Academic Advising and our Course Registration Guide to determine the specific courses you'll need to take during your time at Laurier. 

Enrolment at both Laurier and RCPA requires successful completion of an audition with each institution.

Articulation: Diploma from Metalworks Institute

This articulation between Laurier and Metalworks Institue is designed to allow students to earn both their Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Self-Directed Studies and their Audio Production Engineering diploma in only four years. 

Participants must successfully graduate from the Metalworks Audio Production and Engineering diploma program before transferring to Laurier to complete their Bachelor of Music. Students applying to Laurier will receive 5.0 transfer credits. To complete your degree at Laurier, you must complete 15.0 additional credits (three additional years of full-time study). Regardless of whether Laurier or Metalworks is attended first, students must apply for transfer to the other program within 10 years of their final year enrolled in a qualifying program at their initial institution. 
 
Throughout your Bachelor of Music degree, you will take courses in topics such as music performance, production, creation and style. Once you have accepted your offer, please consult Academic Advising and our Course Registration Guide to determine the specific courses you'll need to take during your time at Laurier.

Academic Partnership: Randolph College for the Performing Arts

In only four years, students in the RCPA academic partnership pathway will complete a Bachelor of Music (BMus) in Voice Performance from Laurier and a Performing Arts diploma from RCPA. 

You'll attend Laurier in Years 1 and 2, then RCPA in Year 3, and then Laurier in Year 4. The RCPA program counts as 5.0 transfer credits toward the 20.0 credits required for the Bachelor Music (BMus) program.

APPLYING TO RANDOLPH COLLEGE FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS 

At the end of Year 1, you will declare your intent to apply for the RCPA academic partnership pathway and work with your academic advisor to meet the requirements outlined in the academic calendar. You must be in good standing in your program, and you must have completed the minimum credits before you start the RCPA program.  

To enrol in courses at RCPA pathway, you must obtain a Letter of Permission by submitting the online request form.  

Academic Partnership: Metalworks Institute

In only four years, students in the Metalworks academic partnership pathway will complete a Bachelor of Music (BMus) from Laurier and an Audio Production and Engineering diploma from Metalworks Institute. 

You'll attend Laurier in Years 1 and 2, then Metalworks in Year 3, and then Laurier in Year 4. The Metalworks program counts as 5.0 transfer credits toward the 20.0 credits required for the Bachelor Music (BMus) program.

APPLYING TO METALWORKS INSTITUTE

At the end of Year 1, you will declare your intent to apply for the Metalworks Institute academic partnership pathway and work with your academic advisor to meet the requirements outlined in the academic calendar. You must be in good standing in your program, and you must have completed the minimum credits before you start the Metalworks Institute pathway program.  

To enrol in courses in the Metalworks pathway, you must obtain a Letter of Permission by submitting the online request form.
