Note: Participants in this 2+2 agreement will not participate in the Indigenous Studies "in combination" program – only the independent Indigenous Studies program.
The first Laurier intake for this college pathway will be in September 2022. Lambton and Mohawk College students will be able to apply to Laurier for fall 2022 admission when applications open in fall 2021.
Students who have completed Lambton College's Liberal Studies Diploma with an Indigenous Studies specialization, or Mohawk College's General Arts and Science (University Transfer) Diploma with an Indigenous Specialization, with a minimum overall average of 75%, will be eligible for admission into Laurier's Honours Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Indigenous Studies program.
This articulation is a 2+2 agreement, meaning successful participants will transfer in with two years of college education and complete their university degree in only two additional years of study at Laurier.
If you qualify for participation in this agreement, in addition to the 10.0 transfer credits you will carry over from your college experience, you will earn 10.0 credits over two years at Laurier, as follows:

Students enrolling in Laurier’s Indigenous Studies in combination program after completing a two- or three-year diploma program may earn up to 6.0 or 7.5 transfer credits (respectively). The specific transfer credits granted will be determined based on your unique academic journey and outlined in a transfer credit assessment that you will receive along with your offer letter.
To graduate with your Bachelor of Arts in Indigenous Studies in combination with another major, you will need to complete the following courses at Laurier:
4.0 credits from:
Up to 8.0 required courses in order to earn your second major (including any relevant transfer credits earned towards that program major).
If you have additional questions about your transition to Laurier, financial aid for transfer students or transfer credit evaluation, visit our transfer students website. If you are interested in transferring into this program with an academic history different than what is outlined above, apply using the 105 application form and your transfer credits will be assessed on an individual basis and reported to you, along with your offer letter, upon admission to Laurier.
