Join us for a relaxed, hands-on art coaster workshop designed for all ages and skill levels. Whether you come on your own, with friends, or as a family, this session invites you to slow down, explore your creativity, and enjoy the simple joy of making something beautiful and useful to take home. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, encouraging self-expression, confidence, and mindful creativity in LAMA’s Art Studio.
Choose Your Coaster Style: Participants will choose one of two coaster styles, both included at the same price. During the workshop, you may create either ceramic art coasters or mosaic bamboo coasters.
Ceramic coasters (square or round, 4 in / 10 cm) are designed using acrylic paint markers and finished with an epoxy coating, cured under UV light for a glossy, waterproof, and durable surface. Each coaster is completed with a cork backing to protect surfaces and add a soft, stable feel.
Mosaic coasters are created on bamboo bases (3, 3.5, or 4 inches) using safe, rounded mosaic glass pieces in a variety of colors and shapes. All materials (including adhesive, glass, beads, and grout ) are provided, with gentle, step-by-step guidance throughout the process. Both options offer a playful and satisfying creative experience, suitable for beginners and experienced makers alike.
Who Can Join: All ages are welcome, and no prior art experience is required. Children are welcome to participate when accompanied by an adult. Materials and instruction are thoughtfully curated to be safe, inclusive, and enjoyable for all skill levels.

Once a month, join us for an extended mosaic lamp-making session where creativity meets light. This workshop offers a slower, more in-depth creative experience, inviting participants to design and build their own glowing mosaic lamp in a warm, supportive environment. Whether you attend alone, with friends, or as a family, the session encourages presence, patience, and artistic exploration in LAMA’s Art Studio.
What You will Create: Participants will design a mosaic lamp using a wide selection of colorful, safe mosaic glass pieces and glass beds arranged on a lamp base of your choice. Step-by-step guidance is provided throughout the session—from planning your design and selecting colors to assembling your mosaic—making the experience accessible for beginners while still deeply satisfying for experienced creators.

Celebrate connection and creativity with a special Artful Date session on February 14, Saturday. Whether you join with a partner, a parent, a close friend, or someone you care about, this workshop offers a relaxed and artful way to spend time together while creating something.
Participants will decorate heart-shaped coasters, choosing between ceramic coater decorating or bamboo mosaic designs, guided step by step in a warm and welcoming studio atmosphere. Come share a moment of creativity, conversation, and care, no experience needed, just curiosity and love.

Celebrate the season with a creative, hands-on Air-Dry Clay Plate Decoration & Glazing session. Choose from pre-made chick or bunny plates (approximately 13–15 cm), ready to be painted and decorated in your own style. Each plate is designed to become a charming decorative serving piece—perfect for Easter celebrations, gifting, or creating lasting family memories.
Participants will enjoy a relaxed, guided experience using safe, all-ages materials, allowing creativity to flow while crafting a piece that can be cherished year after year.
Want to make it extra special? If you’d like to create your own clay plate from scratch, please reach out to book an individual session before the decoration workshop on the 28th (ssezen@wlu.ca). This allows time for the plate to properly dry and be ready for decorating.
