Chamber Music (Diploma)

Laurier’s Chamber Music Diploma is a two-term program designed for advanced musicians seeking intensive, collaborative training in small ensemble performance. Open to those who have completed an undergraduate degree or diploma in music, the program is well suited for pre-formed chamber groups featuring any combination of strings, woodwinds, brass, piano or percussion.

You will benefit from personalized coaching with Laurier’s expert faculty and a wide range of immersive performance opportunities. Many students use this program to refine their artistry while preparing audition materials for graduate studies, competitions or professional engagements, making it an ideal next step in a performer’s journey.

  • Performance and Community Engagement
    Take part in a wide range of  masterclasses and outreach events, both on campus and throughout the vibrant Kitchener-Waterloo music scene. These opportunities are designed to help you gain stage experience, build your network and prepare for graduate studies or professional performance careers.
  • Penderecki String Quartet
    Learn from educators and members of the Penderecki String Quartet as they extend their expertise worldwide, enriching institutions like Bloomington Indiana University’s String Academy and the Beijing Conservatory.

Delivered In Person

Join us on campus and experience university life firsthand.

You can complete your program primarily through in-person courses where you will attend classes in a physical classroom on scheduled days and times, which you will see and choose from when you register for courses.
