Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Basic Requirements

  • A minimum of second-class honours or 'B' standing in the fourth year of either:
    • A recognized four-year undergraduate honours degree in the field of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics; or
    • A recognized four-year undergraduate honours degree in business or economics with a strong performance (80% or better) in a quantitative course such as statistics or business analytics.
  • At least two years of full-time experience in a supply chain-related position.
  • Two letters of reference - ideally one academic letter.
  • One writing sample (maximum five pages). Writing sample must address the following:
    • A real-world supply chain challenge of interest to the applicant
    • Why the challenge is important
    • How the applicant thinks that earning the MSCM degree could raise their competence in handling this (as well as other) supply chain challenges
  • All applicants, regardless of educational background, must complete the online 'Foundations for Business School' courses offered by in math, statistics, economics, accounting, and finance no more than 12 months prior to the time of application.
    Note: Applicants to the Lazaridis MSCM program are entitled to receive a discount on their courses by entering the discount code when they register.
  • Successful completion of the following courses through are required for admission:
    • Math Foundations for Business School
    • Accounting Foundations for Business School
    • Statistics Foundations for Business School
    • Economics Foundations for Business School
    • Finance Foundations for Business School
  • Applicants with significant professional experience are eligible to be admitted by meeting alternative admission requirements based on your extensive and relevant work experience.

International Applicants

Due to the work-as-you-learn design of the program, the Lazaridis Master of Supply Chain Management is not accepting international student applications at this time.

How to Apply

Applications are due July 1, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.

Offers of admission are awarded to successful candidates until the program is full.

Note: Your application should be complete (OUAC application completed and supplemental documents and references submitted) by this date. This process normally takes at least two weeks. Please apply through OUAC as early as possible.

Three to five days after you have submitted your OUAC application, paid the non-refundable application fee, and Laurier has received your application, you'll receive an email from advising you to upload the additional required documentation to Laurier's Online Registration and Information System (LORIS).

Application Checklist

To apply to our Master of Supply Chain Management program, you must include:

  • The OUAC Application Summary, which is generated after you complete your OUAC application (log into OUAC to retrieve it).

  • Transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate work.

  • A completed statement of intent.

  • A writing sample (see 'Basic Requirements for details).
  • A resume of your academic and work experience. Include a history of your publication and scholarly paper activity and any other information you feel will interest the admissions committee.

  • Completed reference forms. Reference forms are electronically submitted to Laurier by the referee and do not need to be uploaded.

  • IELTS or TOEFL scores (if your native language is not English and you did not complete your most recent degree in an English medium).
