Becoming a Golden Hawk means more than just cheering on our (really good) varsity teams – it means being a student who cares about your community, who works hard in the classroom, and who takes advantage of all the learning opportunities that can happen outside the classroom, too.

Brantford Campus Ambassador
I have a passion for helping others as I'm usually one of the first ones to volunteer for something. I love working with kids, whether it be babysitting, day camp, campus clubs or hanging out with family. You can count on my career path leading me to something surrounding kids. I also love the outdoors such as hiking or camping, although I am terrified of bugs. I love travelling and have been to Europe twice to see family and fell in love with visiting new places. I also enjoy reading, listening to music, and going for long car rides.
I chose Laurier, specifically the Brantford campus, because of how close-knit the community is and the connections you can easily make. I made it a goal to get involved as much as possible on campus in my first year and I already knew of ways to do so before I even got accepted. Coming from a small town, big universities were a bit intimidating, but seeing the small campus and how students could walk down the street and always find someone they knew made Laurier truly feel like a family.
How to get involved on campus, student life, living off-campus, residence experience, travelling, outdoors, and music!
