Theatre Auditorium Floor Replacement and Washroom Refresh – Monday, July 28 to Friday, August 8, 2025

The Facilities and Asset Management department would like to inform the Laurier community of an upcoming construction project scheduled to take place from Monday, July 28 to Friday, August 8, 2025.

Please review the details below, including expected impacts to campus areas.

Project: Theatre Auditorium Floor Replacement and Washroom Refresh
Location: Theatre Auditorium – First Floor Lobby and Washrooms

Scope of Work:

• Replacement of tile flooring in the lobby area (TA101), where it connects to the Savvas Chamberlain Music Building’s main corridor (M1000H)
• Washrooms (male, female, and accessible) on first floor (TA104 corridor) will be refreshed and temporarily closed during this work

Expected Impacts:

• Construction-related noise and some vibration, particularly during the initial days
• No through-traffic permitted in the affected area for the duration of the project
• Alternate washrooms are available near the Maureen Forrester Recital Hall
