Construction Projects on the Waterloo Campus – August 2025 through to December 2025

The Facilities and Asset Management department would like to inform the Laurier community of upcoming construction projects scheduled to take place on the Waterloo campus over the next few months.

Please review the details below, including expected impacts to campus areas.

FNCC/DAWB Chimney Demolition
Location: Exterior, FNCC and DAWB Buildings
Duration: August 25, 2025 through to December 2025
Scope of Work: Demolition of the chimney that is located between the FNCC and DAWB buildings
Expected Impacts: Outdoor construction noise, dust, vibrations related to construction activities

Arts C Roof Replacement
Location: Exterior, Arts C Building
Duration: August 21, 2025 through to November 2025
Scope of Work: Replacement of the low-sloped roof at Arts C
Expected Impacts:

• Scaffolding and fencing installed on the north side of Arts C
• Outdoor construction noise, dust, vibrations and odours related to construction activities
• Intermittent disruptions to walkways – please follow directions of site personnel and signage/barriers

Bricker Academic Building - Exterior Building Envelope Repairs
Location: Exterior, Bricker Academic Building
Duration: August 21, 2025 through to December 2025
Scope of Work: Restoration of deteriorated exterior building envelope components (brick masonry, EIFS, etc.)
Expected Impacts:

• Scaffolding and fencing installed around the exterior perimeter of Bricker Academic
• Outdoor construction noise, dust, vibrations related to construction activities
